Hazel

Hazel is currently looking for her new, forever home. She is a 12 year old plott hound with some anxiety that made the changes in her home life that have made her unhappy and unfortunately have her looking for her new home. <br/><br/>Her ideal home would be a home where she gets plenty of attention, doesn't have to contend with kids, and doesn't have to worry as much about noise. She is generally okay with kids, thanks to the training she received when she was younger. However, given her anxiety and random acts of jumping out of her bed and barking while running toward the door, we feel probably not a home with children just becoming mobile. As for the noise, it's Tacoma, so we're emphasizing the "relatively" very strongly here.<br/><br/>Having a backyard would be preferable, since she has been trained to go outside to go potty and then come back. Historically, she hasn't done well in apartments, but we can leave that to the potential owner if they feel confident in their ability to make sure she gets outside time.<br/><br/>we are hoping to find a home understanding of her anxieties and has the space to give Hazel attention and patience. That transition period is likely going to be rough but as she settles, Hazel is a sweet, loving girl. She will need to be an only dog.
