Hazel here! I’m 4.5 years old & looking for a family to call my own and hoping you might be a great fit! I came from a less than ideal situation that left me slow to warm up and a little cautious at first meeting my foster family. However, my foster momma says I'm a good girl and she's helped me find the confidence I needed to open up!

I am a silly girl who loves to make funny noises & alert you when new people may be close to our property; always on watch duty! Since I’m working through some anxiety, I prefer not to be crated as that makes me very nervous & I do well outside of the crate as long as I can see out of a window and the trash is put away. My foster mom says I'm a stinker if I can get to the trash while she's gone, but I think I'm just helping the environment.

I love kids, cuddling with my foster family & going on walks. I’m working on enjoying car rides; I will go but I will need a little, possibly a big nudge to get into the car. I have lived with dogs of all sizes, ages and activity levels and I do just fine. My foster mom tells me I'm a good girl when I get a little overwhelmed. I can be vocal if dogs are in my personal space for a few weeks until they learn boundaries, but I eventually settle down. I love the smallest dog at my foster home & I prefer female company but could adjust to a male companion with patience.

I'm very sensitive to loud noises and quick motions. Sometimes I get nervous about loud noises or lots of fast hand motions and I will drop to the ground; don't worry, I learn to trust pretty quickly! I am house broken and not destructive, but my foster mom told me to tell you that if you are gone and I can access your bedroom, I will take your pillow to my dog bed to cuddle with until you return.
