Born deaf, he experiences the world a little differently — but not any less joyfully. His vision appears normal, and he confidently explores using his eyes, nose, and lots of puppy curiosity.

Playful, bright, and full of wiggles, he quickly learns routines and naturally watches people for guidance. Eye contact and gentle touch mean everything to him, and you can almost see the gears turning as he figures things out. Deaf puppies form incredibly strong bonds because they rely so deeply on their person — you become their whole language.

Because of his deafness, he will need a special adopter willing to communicate with hand signals, consistency, and patience. A secure fenced yard is required so he can safely explore his environment. Previous deaf-dog experience is a plus, but not required — just a willingness to learn, be consistent, and give him guidance.

Deaf dogs thrive with structure and positive reinforcement, and many owners find them wonderfully attentive since they instinctively look to their human for direction.
