Harvey Very Handsome Boy

Meet our super handsome and sleek boy named Harvey! Harvey is about 1.5 years old and he came to our shelter after he was abandoned by his owners. A resident in our town allowed someone to leave Harvey at their home for a couple nights, but they never came back for him. Now Harvey is looking for his forever family! Harvey is a young boy who enjoys a good head and butt scratch. He has started to get more affectionate with us here and he learns routines very quickly. Harvey is a playful guy who especially loves the kong shaped toys. He will play fetch with those over and over until he is tired out. Harvey is a smart boy who listens well for treats or toys. He does have some dominant energy, so he will need a confident dog owner who will work on some basic training with him. Harvey did great at our vet office and loved everyone there. He is fine with other dogs, but we think he will want to be the dominant dog in the home. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal.<br/>Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal.<br/><br/>An approved application does not guarantee an adoption.
