Harry's Story
Meet Harry – A Big, Lovable Goofball with a Heart of Gold!

This is Harry, the big, derpy, and utterly adorable dog who loves everyone he meets, whether they’re human or canine! At around 95 lbs, Harry doesn’t realize just how big he is, and he’s 100% lapdog at heart—if you’ve got the space, he’ll climb right up into your lap, ready for love.

Harry has had a bit of a rough start—he’s been bounced from home to home and spent some time at the city shelter. Through it all, he’s kept his spirit high and his love on full display. Despite his past, Harry is a joyful and happy dog who just wants to be loved and be part of the action.

Although he’s about 85% potty trained, Harry is still working on some basics, and like many big-hearted dogs, he’s a bit of a wrecking ball with his joy. He has the stubbornness of a mastiff, and if he’s not feeling something, he’ll play “catch the mastiff” or “dead mastiff”—but hey, it’s all part of his goofy charm!

Harry would do best in a home where he isn’t left alone too often, as he has some separation anxiety. He thrives on companionship and would love a home where he can go on adventures with his people or have someone around most of the time. Harry will also need slow introductions to other dogs, as he hasn’t had much structure in his life and is still learning doggy social cues. He loves other dogs, but he may need a patient and tolerant dog friend to guide him through their interactions.

While Harry’s size and enthusiasm might be a bit overwhelming for some, he’s looking for a strong and patient person who can give him the structure, patience, and time he needs to thrive. He might be a bit of a handful at times, but with the right person, he’ll be the most loyal, loving companion.

If you’ve got a big heart, a little extra space, and the patience to help Harry become the best version of himself, you won’t find a dog with a bigger heart than Harry. He’s got a lot of love to give—and he’s ready to be your forever sidekick!

*Adopters must live in Central Indiana, no more than 45 min from downtown Indy

*Please visit website for how to adopt: https://sketchymuttsandunderdogs.org/adopt

*Please note that we do not operate on a first come first served basis
