He was rescued from Calexico Animal Control along with his three brothers after their family was abandoned—mom and all four pups were left behind, and neighbors called for help. They spent a few weeks at the shelter before finding a foster home where Harris could thrive. Harris loves kids and other dogs, and he is fully vaccinated and neutered. He has not been cat tested. This happy boy will greet you with joy every time you come home and simply wants to be with you, giving and receiving love. Our Process Includes: A completed adoption application A phone interview to discuss lifestyle, expectations, and compatibility A home check (virtual or in-person) to ensure a safe and secure environment We also offer a "Foster with Intent to Adopt" option for those who would like to ensure a perfect fit before finalizing their adoption. This gives both the dog and the family time to adjust and bond in a supported way. Our Promise: If for any reason an adopter can no longer care for their dog—whether it’s months or years later—we require that the dog be returned to Soulshine. No judgment, no questions asked. Our commitment to every dog we rescue is lifelong, and we will always welcome them back when needed. By adopting through Soulshine, you become part of our extended rescue family—changing a life and gaining a loyal companion in return.
