HARLEY's Story

Harley (A143335) is a 2-year-old German Shepherd x Rottweiler mix who weighed 64.1 pounds on intake! 09/07/26 This pretty girl is Harley! Harley was surrendered to the shelter due to no fault of her own, but due to housing issues. She was a very loved girl, and her family had lots of wonderful things to share! She was described as a happy dog with a clumsy side! She LOVES her toys and especially to play fetch! She was described as being calm, or rather a couch potato, most of the day, but then has her spirts of puppy energy! She is looking for a good balance in her next home of adventure and tv time! Harley was noted to be vocal at times, especially when left alone. She was also said to need a thick metal kennel to keep her contained and will take herself on an adventure if she sees a chance. Being mindful of doors is important especially as she is getting acclimated to her new home. She does know her basic commands and is mostly housebroken and will alert a person when she needs to go outside. Harley was said to jump up when excited to greet people, and is still working on that. However, she was said to do wonderfully with children and was said to be very gentle. She was also said to do well with other animals including dogs and cats. It is important that appropriate introductions are being made. It was important to note that Harley is an opportunist when it comes to food, and no food should be left unattended around her, or she will help herself to a snack! If you are interested in meeting this goofy gal, please let us know!
