Meet Harley! She is an 8 month ‘Deutsch Drahthaar’ puppy ( sorry we didn't have a category for this breed and the closest is GWP) She was meant to be a hunting dog, but due to a shoulder injury she is unable to hunt. The owner adores her, but he would love to see her in a home more suited for her (please no judgement, the owner is trying to do the right thing by Harley)
She has a permanent dislocated shoulder (the injury occured prior to this owner getting her OR is a genetic abnormality) which will require amputation or a fusing of the shoulder. She is currently in Texas and has been seen by a local vet and orthopedic surgeon at Texas A+M. She's a young dog with energy but is held back due to her shoulder. She is very sweet and craves attention. She loves other dogs and kids and currently lives in a home with both.
She is currently safe in Texas and ?will be transported up here for the right adopter. Serious inquiries only and familiarity with this type of breed is important.
