Harley's Story

Harley is an absolute beauty and just under 2 years old. She is an athletic, intelligent girl who truly wants to follow your lead and build a bond with her person or family. She is very smart and eager to learn, and she will thrive with a pet parent who is willing to take the time to teach her, guide her, and help her discover the world around her.

Before coming into our care, Harley lived primarily in a backyard and garage setting. She was not walked regularly and had very little opportunity to experience life beyond the home. She also gave birth to an accidental litter and was a wonderful mother to her puppies. Now, for the first time, Harley is getting the chance to explore the world and begin a new chapter.

Harley is crate trained, does very well on leash, and is already working on basic obedience skills to help set her up for success. With her breed mix, she is a quick learner and has so much potential in the right home. We believe Harley would do best with an experienced pet parent or family who can continue to show her the ropes, provide structure, and patiently guide her through new experiences.

Harley previously lived with other dogs and around children in the home that surrendered her. Her former family had too many dogs and, sadly, no longer had the time to care for Harley and her puppies. As Harley adjusts to her new life, we feel she would do best in a home with children 13 and older, or in an adult-only home, where she can start her happy new beginning with the support, patience, and guidance she deserves. This darling girl is ready to meet her forever family.
