Harley's Story
Harley's story started tragically, but now he's ready for his happily ever after. Harley was adopted from a local shelter, but his adopters left the garage open and he slipped out on his very first day there. Instead of searching for him, they didn't notify anyone and left him to survive on the streets. But after months scared and alone on his own, our rescue was able to bring him into a loving foster home!

Now, sweet Harley is ALL about enjoying the creature comforts of indoor life. He goes outside to potty but prefers observing the world from his favorite couch perch. He loves to cuddle and snuggle, and his foster mom calls him an absolute sweetheart! He has SO much love and joy to give, and he needs a patient, kind adopter who will show him love and support while he learns to trust his new family. It's going to take him a minute, but he'll be an amazing family member!

Harley's ideal home will have a fenced-in yard and lots of windows for observing the big wide world. He will do best in a home, rather than an apartment, because he's very vocal when he's excited (mom's home! squirrel! treats!). Harley coexists well with his foster family's resident dog. He is submissive and mostly disinterested, and would do well with another independent dog friend or being your one and only furry companion.

If you are a kind, loving, and patient soul who can give Harley the time he needs to realize you're the BFF he's been looking for, he would love to meet you ... and make sure your couch meets his impeccable cuddling standards. <3

**Harley is adoptable in the greater Austin, Texas, area only.**
