Happy's Story

**If interested, please do not send us a message through PetFinder. Instead, please go to our website to fill out an application: www.projectpawsdogrescue.com. The adoption fee is $975.**

Say hi to Happy! This little guy is a 16lb, mixed breed dog coming to us from a Quebec shelter. He was found wandering as a stray before coming into rescue. We estimate he is about 4 years old.

Happy is crate-trained and fully potty trained and has settled into his foster home so easily. He's one of those dogs who has the perfect mix of independence and affection. He loves being close to his people and is always happy to cuddle, but he's also perfectly content relaxing on his own while you go about your day.

Happy absolutely loves toys, especially squeaky toys and stuffies! He enjoys carrying them around, tossing them in the air, giving them a good shake, and entertaining himself. If you throw one for him, hell happily chase after it and have fun playing.

He is incredibly sweet and loves people. If you stop petting him while you're cuddling, hell gently reach out with his little paw or nudge you for just a few more pets. Its the cutest thing. He's a very easy dog to have around the house. He doesn't have separation anxiety, settles well on his own, and is just happy to be part of the family. He also takes treats very gently.

Happy knows how to sit and would likely enjoy continuing to learn with some positive reinforcement. He's such a smart little guy and has already shown so much growth. Happy has not been tested with cats or children, but seems to be ok with other dogs.
