She is also non-shedding—so white couches are safe. <br/><br/>Happy is a friend to everyone, especially other dogs, and is very tolerant and affectionate with small children. She is still a puppy, however, and her enthusiasm can occasionally result in an unexpected toddler takedown. She has not been tested with cats and shows a strong interest in squirrels, which she enjoys stalking and chasing. Happy is an excellent car traveler, making her an easy companion for road trips and outdoor adventures. She loves trips to the river and swimming and would make an excellent hiking, running, or outdoor companion.<br/><br/>Happy will need a very active owner who can prioritize daily exercise and mental stimulation. She thrives with plenty of activity and is happiest when she can tag along for the adventure. Her ideal owner will appreciate an energetic, smart dog and be ready to keep both her body and brain busy. In return, Happy is affectionate, fun-loving, eager to learn, and always ready to go.<br/><br/>Happy is an 8-month-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $800 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and spay. Happy is also tested with other dogs, children, and potty and kennel trained. She is not tested with cats. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if she might be a good fit for your home.<br/><br/>The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals.<br/><br/>We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!)<br/><br/>Please note, adoption applications are processed within 1–2 business days.
