Hannah's Story

Hannah is a very sweet and affectionate one year old girl who was found as a stray. She has remarkable markings that look like a Catahoula Leopard Dog (but we don't know her breed mix without a DNA test). She has really come out of her shell and LOVES to be with people. She gets so excited when people pay attention to her. She walks very well on a leash and loves to go for long walks. She is the perfect size at 44 pounds. She is crate trained and almost fully housebroken. She loves to play with other dogs and visit dog parks, and she is food motivated. She hasn't been tested with cats yet. The Humane Society of Clinton County, Indiana's Adoption Policy
We require a "foster to adopt" program for all adopters, whether it be that the pet that you are interested in still has some medical work up to be done or whether we just want to give the pet time to adjust. An application is required to be filled out at the time of adoption. No appointment required to visit the animals during open hours. Upon finalizing adoption, each pet is current on vaccinations, altered, microchipped, FeLV/FIV test and/or heartworm tested. All animals over 7 years of age will have bloodwork performed at the vet. All known medical issues will be taken care of at the vet prior to finalizing adoption (dental cleanings, hernia repairs, mass removals, etc.).
