Hank's Story
Meet Hank, a one-year-old, 75-pound Great Pyrenees and Labrador Retriever mix who has the heart of a wise, mellow old soul. Everyone who meets Hank is wow'ed by how grounded and relaxed he is. His daily rhythm is delightfully simple: after a brisk morning walk and a short play session, Hank is ready to clock in as a full-time nap connoisseur. He spends his days rotating through favorite lounge spots, often stretching out across your feet or offering quiet, affectionate check-ins.

Hank is a gentle giant who believes every creature he encounters is a friend. He is fully house-trained, and has a knack for helping grumpy or nervous dogs relax and join in the fun. Around cats, Hank is polite, respecting their boundaries and happily letting curious felines inspect him without chasing. He has also spent time with infants and toddlers, being quite the gentleman although his large frame means he can occasionally bump into little ones when curious. When greeting people at the door, he may offer an enthusiastic bounce of excitement, but he responds immediately to verbal correction and happily keeps all four paws on the floor.

Hank’s dream forever home is a single-family house with a secure fenced yard where he can safely explore, play fetch, and stretch his legs between snooze sessions. He is not suited for apartment or shared-wall living, as he occasionally lets out an impatient bark when dinner is taking a little too long. And, keep in mind, Hank is young and large and still growing! Hank thrives on connection and loves being around you. He is eager to please, responds enthusiastically to clicker training, and is looking for a dedicated family ready to provide consistent guidance on manners, lots of chew toys, car rides with the windows rolled down, and a lifetime of affection.
