Hank's Story

#1090 Hank

Age: 4 years old

Color & Breed: Red/White Basset

Gender: Neutered Male

Weight: 47 pounds

Hank #1090 is a 4-year-old red-and-white male who weighs just shy of 50 pounds. Hank loves life and everyone in it, taking special care with the very young. He loves kids and he loves puppies and is always asking to say hi to the other dogs while out on a walk.

Active families who love bassets should definitely consider Hank. He loves walks and would enjoy hikes and outdoor adventures. Fenced-in backyards that give him the independence to wander and stuff would also be ideal, especially since he liked to sneak out at his old home. After a long day of exploration, there’s nothing Hank wants more than to sit in a lap and give lots of kisses.

Hank is crate trained and was recently neutered so his potty habits are only going to get better from here. He could join a dog pack or be a great companion to someone who is home a lot during the day to give him all the attention. His biggest complaint is dog food in kibble form. Children and puppies get delicious food, so why not Hank?

If you think you could share a bag of chocolate chip-free trail mix with Hank, visit https://www.mnbassetrescue.com/adoption for an application.

MNBR adopts locally as much as possible so we can properly support our foster dogs and adopters if the need arises. MNBR rehomes dogs from owners who can no longer provide their care and rescues dogs from local pounds and shelters. As an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue we welcome anyone who loves dogs and wishes to help hounds live a healthy and happy life.
