Hank's Story

Hank is a 7 year old, 22 pound Mini Schnauzer who came from Texas to find his new loving home in Colorado. He was picked up as a stray by the shelter in Texas, so we don’t know much about his background. Hank has lovely, wavy silver gray fur. He enjoys people attention, but doesn’t seem to be much of a lap dog. He loves chewies and treats, but doesn’t seem to know what to do with toys. We think that Hank would do best in a quiet, adult home where his people were around most of the time, perhaps retired, or working from home. The shelter said that he seemed to be housetrained, but he does like to take frequent potty breaks outside. He enjoys wandering around the fenced-in backyard in his foster home, checking out all the good “wild” smells.

Hank is neutered, he is up to date on his vaccinations (rabies, distemper and kennel cough), vet checked, heartworm tested negative and on preventative while in rescue, and microchipped. He had two masses removed at the shelter, one from each hip. The pathology report said that these type of masses are usually benign and that it is unlikely to metastasize or spread. He has recovered well and gets along well with other dogs in his foster home. If you would like to meet Hank, go to www.cominischnauzerrescue,com and complete the on-line adoption application. We suggest that you print a copy of the application before you hit the “submit” button, just in case! We will give you a call to set up a time to bring Hank for a visit. If you have completed an adoption application within the last 12 months, or have previously adopted from Vintage Dog Rescue and would like to meet Hank, please let us know.
