Hamilton is a young, handsome little Cattle Dog who is ready for adoption. He is 7 months old, he weighs just 30 pounds, and he has a classic Cattle Dog coat with lots of tan accent. Hamilton is housebroken, crate-trained and he is learning his basic obedience commands. He walks pretty well on leash but he will pull when he is in a hurry, and he is a great passenger in the car.
Hamilton loves people! He is a high Velcro guy who loves to be with his people. He also loves other dogs and LOVES to play with his dog pals. Hamilton is a high energy dog with a nice off switch. Hamilton loves to play with other dogs, run around the yard, play ball, go for walks and hikes, and when all the activity has worn him out he is ready for snuggles and belly rubs. Hamilton loves food and is very food motivated, which is so helpful for his training. He leaves cats alone!
The ideal family for Hamilton is friendly, active and Cattle Dog savvy. Hamilton is at that important age when training makes all the difference in helping him to be the best Hamilton ever, so his new family must have the time to make it happen! A fenced yard and another playful dog (or two!) are required, and because he is still a bit of a jumper any children in the home should be at least 12 years old.
