Hairyette Tubman's Story
Anyone up for a game of tag your it? This is one game that you could win every time with this little girl. Meet Hairyette Tubman, she is a year old and over 50 pounds. The answer to everyone's question is, yes, she is blind, her hearing is spot on, and she has a nose like a hound. When she is in a new environment for the first time, she is a little defensive, but it doesn't take her long to adjust. She walks on a leash wonderfully, with just a few verbal cues as to where she needs to go. It will take her time to learn her new home, as to where everything is at, so moving the furniture is not an option. She knows which way to turn when you say right or left, she is comfortable with steps when you tell her step up or step down. It's fascinating to watch her walk to where you want her to go, it's like she counts her own steps, to remember the distance of her destination. She gets excited when she knows her people are around, and her puppy comes out, unfortunately she will not be able to chase a ball, but playing with her special human will make her day, every time. Talking to her constantly is a must, just so she knows where you are at. Feeding her separate from other dogs is a must, she likes her food and will defend it. She is going to be a big girl and will probably always love her stuff toys. A fenced in yard will help her get her exercise, and with your help she will figure everything out. We are unsure how she will do with cats or kids. Please consider giving this sweet pup, a wonderful home, warm bed, and stuffed toys to last a lifetime. She doses like to play with other dogs.
