Thank you!<br/><br/>Meet Gypsy 🐾<br/><br/>Imagine being a sweet little 11 lb. Shih Tzu, all alone, hungry, and with no safe place to go. That was Gypsy’s reality just a few months ago when she was found wandering, scared and alone, and brought to a shelter by Animal Control.<br/><br/>She hadn’t been groomed in far too long and was covered in fleas. Thankfully, our rescue was able to bring her into a loving foster home, where she was quickly groomed and given the care she so desperately needed.<br/><br/>Gypsy is estimated to be just over a year old and is a wonderful little companion. She is very shy, especially around new people—particularly men—but she does not have an aggressive bone in her body. She gets along beautifully with other pets, including both large and small dogs, as well as cats.<br/><br/>Once she feels safe, Gypsy’s sweet and affectionate personality really shines. She loves being the center of attention, enjoys lap time, and will happily snuggle next to her foster mom while watching TV—she even sleeps peacefully by her side through the night. She’s smart, playful, and loves chasing her little ball and playing with her favorite toys. Like any happy pup, she also gets the occasional case of the zoomies and clearly enjoys life.<br/><br/>We are looking for an adopter who:<br/><br/>Has another small, friendly, and playful dog.<br/>Has a secure fenced yard<br/>Is home most of the day and leads an active lifestyle to help build her confidence<br/><br/>While Gypsy is safe with children, a quieter home without young kids would be best for her sensitive nature.<br/><br/>The good news:<br/><br/>Housetrained (with doggy door & fenced yard)<br/>Knows “sit”<br/>Rides calmly in the car<br/>Loves walks and does well on a leash<br/>Enjoys playing fetch with squeaky toys<br/><br/>Gypsy is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and on prevention for both heartworm and fleas.<br/><br/>💙 Adoption Fee: $475.00<br/><br/>If you’re unable to adopt but would like to help, you can donate toward Gypsy’s care by clicking the “Sponsor” button on her Petfinder page.<br/><br/>Important: Shih Tzus are considered a high-maintenance breed and require regular grooming and brushing.
