Meet Gypsy<br/><br/>Gypsy is a beautiful 10-month-old, 25-pound girl who is just beginning to show us who she really is — and there is a very sweet, playful dog emerging.<br/><br/>Gypsy had a traumatic start to life, and some of those early experiences left her unsure of people, particularly men. She has made great progress and is coming out of her shell more and more, but she needs people who understand that trust takes time.<br/><br/>What Gypsy absolutely loves is other dogs.<br/><br/>Around them, you get to see a different side of her. She relaxes, plays and gains confidence from having another dog around. We think Gypsy would be an ideal second dog for someone with a friendly, confident dog who can show her the ropes and help her continue to discover that life can actually be pretty fun.<br/><br/>She’s young, curious and enjoys getting outside, exploring and playing, but she also has a sensitive side. A busy household with small children would likely be too stressful for her right now, so we think adults or a family with teenagers would be a much better fit.<br/><br/>We are also urgently looking for a male foster for Gypsy.<br/><br/>One of the things we would really like to help her overcome is her fear of men. A calm, patient male foster who is willing to give her space, build trust slowly and create positive experiences with her could be an incredibly important part of helping Gypsy heal from her past.<br/><br/>There is no expectation that someone needs to be a trainer. Gypsy needs patience, consistency, kindness and someone willing to let her relationship with them develop at her pace. Soulshine will provide the support and everything she needs while in foster care.<br/><br/>Gypsy is also available for adoption, and we would love to find her a permanent home with someone who understands shy or sensitive dogs and sees how rewarding it can be to watch one learn to trust.<br/><br/>She’s already starting to blossom.
