Gwen & Blake's Story

Blake and Gwen are a fun pair of 2 year old Yorkies who came to Colorado to find their loving forever home. They each weigh just under 13 pounds, and got a clean bill of health from our vet. They were found running as strays in Texas but they were obviously running together. The people who found them couldnt keep them, so they relinquished the dogs to a shelter. The shelter thought that they were a bonded pair, and so they were looking for a rescue that would keep them together. They flew up to Colorado recently, and have been in foster care. Their foster Mom and their vet agree that they are bonded, although we think that Blake is much more bonded to Gwen than she is to him.

They are active little puppies, love people attention, and seem to want to please the people in their lives. We think that they would love a home where their people are with them most of the time, retired, or working from home. They seem to get bored quickly, so need things like chewies, Kongs, and toys to keep them occupied, just being typical puppies. We dont think that they have ever been with children and due to their small size, we think that an adult home would be best.

They also enjoy playing outside, so a fenced in yard would be great. They are quiet little dogs, but Blake in particular needs some work on his potty training. We have been using a belly band with him and it is usually dry. They seem to learn very quickly as they remembered the way from their exercise pen to the door going outside in their foster home after just one day.

Both dogs are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations (rabies, distemper and kennel cough), vet checked, heartworm tested negative and on preventative while in rescue, and microchipped. If you would like to meet Blake and Gwen, go to www.cominischnauzerrescue,com and complete the on-line adoption application.
