Gus's Story

Meet Gus! Gus is approximately 2 years old and 20 lbs currently and is a Scruffy. Gus was found as a stray with some medical issues. He has one eye that he doesn't close when sleeping, is more than likely deaf, has a little crooked smile and he drags his front right foot some. None of these things hold him back from being a sweet, happy, active pup. The only thing he would need is not being walked on concrete or asphalt without some protection for the top of his foot. Walking and running in the grass has no negative effect on his foot at all. In his foster home, he is doing great with his house training, crate training and leash walking. He could join households with dog-savvy kids 10+, and other dogs. He has not been exposed to cats.

His foster says, "Gus is a sweet, happy, scruffy boy with a natural little mohawk and a cute crooked smile. He is non-destructive, has had no accidents inside, does good leashed and is great crated. He loves to play outside and has been a joy to foster. He will make someone a great little companion and snuggle buddy."

He is available for adoption by appointment in Hopkinton or Amherst, MA. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.

-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.
-Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt.
- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com
