Gus Coonhound & Hound Mix Smithfield, NC

Meet Gus! Gus is full grown and estimated to be approximately 5 years old. This sweet hound was transferred to the rescue recently from an area shelter, and we are still getting to know him. He has a lot of energy and, typical of his breed, is an expert escape artist. He absolutely loves people and is full of enthusiasm. We will be sure to update as we get to know more about Gus.

Black Dog Club is a facility-based rescue. We are open to the public every week Wednesday - Sunday from 10am - 6pm, no appointment needed!

If you wish to bring a current pet for a meet and greet with one of our adoptable pets, please send vet records showing the pet is UTD on all vaccines prior to your visit to blackdogclub@outlook.com

The adoption fee includes spay or neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccines, rabies vaccine, fecal test, deworming, and heartworm test. Dogs are treated if heartworm positive. All dogs are UTD on heartworm/flea/tick prevention. All dogs are health screened and vaccinated by our vet, Family Pet Animal Hospital or Quality Care Animal Hospital.

All of our dogs are crated indoors at night, and while some adults are house-trained already, we cannot make promises that a dog or puppy will be house-trained prior to adoption.
