Gunther's Story

**Gunther – The Gentle Giant in Progress.**

Gunther is a big, handsome Rottweiler with a strong presence and an even bigger heart waiting to be understood. He’s formed a bond with the worker on his line and shows his loyal, trusting side once he feels safe.

Gunther may take a little time to warm up, but that’s just because he’s learning the world can be kind. He knows some basic commands like *sit* and does best with someone patient who will give him the space and guidance he needs to build confidence.

Because of his size and strength, Gunther would thrive in a calm, experienced home where he can be the only pet and truly settle in. With consistency and trust, this big boy has all the potential to become an incredibly devoted companion.

Gunther doesn’t need perfection—he just needs **his person**.

Animal Rescue Fund of MS's Adoption Policy
Why should you consider adopting an animal? Easy - there is a severe overpopulation problem of cats and dogs in our country. According to the Human Society of the United States, six to eight million dogs and cats enter shelters each year, and out of those, three to four million are euthanised. View source There are simply too many animals. Why? Unwanted litters due to a failure to spay or neuter, backyard breeders, and puppy mills. Why are so many of these animals unwanted? People get old or ill, face financial difficulties, or simply wind up with an animal they were not prepared for. These animals are abandoned or surrendered to shelters in the millions.
