He was adopted as a puppy, loved once, and then lost everything. He was found alone on the rural back roads of Okanogan County, dragging an injured paw with a leash clip embedded in it, trying to survive without the family he thought he would have forever. Even in pain, he kept moving, hoping someone would finally see him.<br/><br/>When he reached safety, he melted into his foster mom’s arms and slept for hours, snoring softly as if he had been holding his breath for days. That is who Gunner is at his core, a dog who wants nothing more than to feel safe and loved again. His paw has fully healed, and he walks and plays without hesitation now, grateful for every bit of comfort he is offered.<br/><br/>OUR LOCATION & TRANSPORT POLICY:<br/>Fur Ever Yours Dog Rescue is based in Okanogan County (Eastern Washington), where our dedicated first-line foster homes are located and where veterinary care is most accessible. Because we cross-list our dogs in multiple regions to help them find the perfect match, you may see this dog listed in several cities.<br/><br/>Once an adoption application is fully approved, we try our best to provide volunteer-based transport to designated meeting spots in Ellensburg, Leavenworth, Wenatchee, Moses Lake, or Brewster for Western/Central WA families.<br/><br/>For Eastern WA, Montana, or Idaho Families: We host pre-arranged adoption meet-and-greets in Reardan or Spokane Valley.<br/><br/>Please Note: We do not transport dogs sight-unseen without an approved application and processed adoption fee.<br/><br/>ADOPTION FEES & MISSION:<br/><br/>Our adoption fees do not purchase an individual pet; rather, they act as a direct donation that funds our entire rescue ecosystem. Because we pull medical cases, seniors, and neglected animals from under-resourced rural areas, your adoption fee is pooled directly into our medical fund.
