Gummy's Story

Meet Gummy! This adorable 1-year-old boy weighs 18 pounds and came to us after his previous owner developed allergies and also didn't have enough time for him. He spent much of his day in a crate, which is especially tough for a young dog with as much energy and enthusiasm as Gummy.

The change was a little overwhelming at first, but once he realized he was safe his personality really took off!

Gummy is a ball of energy who loves to run, play, and stay busy. Whether it's chasing toys, wrestling with another dog, or heading out for a walk, he's happiest when he's on the move. He would thrive with an active family and he'd absolutely love a playful canine sibling who can keep up with him.

He's also incredibly food motivated, which makes him a blast to work with. He already knows commands like "sit" and "down," and we'd bet he's got plenty more tricks in him if treats are on the line...

Gummy can be a little shy when meeting new people, but he doesn't stay that way for long. Give him a little patience, and you'll quickly discover a goofy, affectionate young dog who wants nothing more than to be part of whatever you're doing.

He has done well with children in his previous home, gets along great with other dogs, and is ready to put his crating days behind him for good!

Gummy has spent enough time watching life go by and now he's ready to get out there, make up for lost time, and find a family that's excited to share life's adventures with him.
