Gulliver's Story
Gulliver has travelled! But now he has landed in the care of Speaking of Dogs, to help him reach his final destination.

Gulliver is a big, goofy (neutered) boy. He is presently shaved due to severe matting on intake.

Gulliver is friendly with people, but can be mouthy in an attention-seeking sort of way, focusing on hands. He can also be selective with dogs, especially other males, and he seems to see small dogs as fun squeaky toys. Now, we only let him socialize with dogs he has shown himself to be comfortable and appropriate with. He would not be a good fit with smaller dogs or cats due to the mouthiness issue, and would benefit from training in this area.. Dog parks are not a good option for these reasons. He does love a good gallop though so a fenced yard would be appreciated.

He has demonstrated some separation anxiety, including barking, so close quarter apartments or townhouses are not ideal for him.

Aside from these quirks, Gulliver is a good natured big goofball. He is clean inside, and picks up new words and cues quickly. A series of training classes would be an ideal way to build up good communication skills for both dog and handlers. He's around 5 years old and 75 pounds
