Meet Guinness!<br/><br/>Guinness is a 4-year-old, 26-lb Shih Tzu mix who is truly a sweetheart. He can be a little shy and anxious when he first meets people, but once he feels comfortable, he turns into the ultimate couch potato and cuddle bug. He loves being near his person and will happily sit by your side all day.<br/><br/>HOUSEBROKEN: Doing great! He's gone a few days without a belly band or accident. He may mark if another dog is around, so belly bands are recommended as a backup while he adjusts.<br/><br/>DOG FRIENDLY: Yes! Guinness is very gentle and does well with other dogs. He seems to take comfort from having a calm canine companion around and may do best with another friendly, calm dog.<br/><br/>ENERGY LEVEL: Low — if your idea of a perfect day is relaxing together on the couch, Guinness may be your guy!<br/><br/>CRATE: He can stay safely in his crate when home alone, but he does bark quite a bit if alone. He is much calmer when another dog is home. Because of this, a home where someone is around most of the time would be ideal.<br/><br/>CAR RIDES: Does well overall and settles once the car is moving, although he can be a little anxious at first.<br/><br/>LEASH: Pulls a little, especially if startled by a loud noise or truck.<br/><br/>KIDS: Friendly but shy. We recommend children 8+ who can give him time to warm up.<br/><br/>CATS: Unknown.<br/><br/>FENCED YARD: Not required, although he absolutely loves having a larger, quiet yard to explore and run around in.<br/><br/>Guinness may need a little patience while he settles into a new home, but once he trusts you, all he wants is to love you and be by your side.<br/><br/>If you're looking for a gentle, low-energy, loving companion who just wants to be your shadow, Guinness could be your perfect match!<br/><br/>Currently being fostered in Port Richmond, Philadelphia<br/><br/>Interested in adopting?
