Here you go! Looking for a young, high energy dog? Meet one of the beautiful, sweet boys that arrived at the shelter with their mother on March 1 of this year. When he arrived at the shelter, he was only about three weeks old. Unfortunately, he is still sitting there months later. GRUNT’s remaining siblings were lucky enough to go off on transport out of state to a nonprofit group that will get them and their mother new homes. He was rejected because he had a condition referred to as cherry eye, a cosmetic condition that is easily fixed. So, the CCAS shelter Director arranged for GRUNT to be neutered, receive a rabies vaccine and have the cherry eye repaired. As a result, this little darling can go home the same day that he is adopted! Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter and schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is unable UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared! That includes taking a collar and leash with you to the adoption appointment in case you do decide to adopt him. Even better, consider taking a dog crate with you to that appointment. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you have just adopted! Safety first!
