GROOT's Story

Groot is a 68-pound boy with beautiful snow-white fur and a playful personality. He was surrendered when his owner could no longer afford to keep him, and now he’s looking for a family who can give him the love and stability he deserves. Groot is active, playful, and a little talkative, and he absolutely adores his people, though he may take a little time to warm up to visitors or strangers. He has experience living with children over the age of 5 but has not lived with cats or other dogs. Groot loves chew toys, squeaky toys, and—believe it or not—socks. He’s house trained and crate trained but can get bored easily, so he’ll do best in a home that can provide plenty of activity and mental stimulation. He can jump fences around three feet high, so he’ll need a secure yard to keep him safe. Groot is also a bit sensitive to loud noises, sudden movements, and nail trims, so a patient home will help him feel comfortable. Overall, he’s a gentle, sweet, and playful dog who is ready to bond closely with his new family.
