Groot's Story
**COURTESY LISTING**

5 y/o Groot’s story began in 2020, when he came into the care of Critter Connection as a young pup. He was quickly adopted and spent several years with his family, but when circumstances changed and they were no longer able to keep him, Groot returned to the rescue. It was a heartbreaking decision for everyone involved, but fortunately, Groot remembered his former foster mom and canine foster sister—and the reunion with his old friends was a happy one.

Groot—also affectionately known as Grootie, Grootimus Maximus, Grootenheimer, and probably a few other names—is now a handsome 85-pound boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He is affectionate, playful, and loves being part of whatever his people are doing. He enjoys most other dogs and has a particularly soft spot for little puppies.

Despite his size, Groot is still very much a goofy puppy at heart. He loves playing fetch with his Wubba, playing catch, going for car rides, and spending time outside. When playtime is over, he is equally happy settling in for a good nap, preferably snuggled up with one of his human or canine friends.

Groot is also quite the conversationalist! He has an assortment of funny noises he uses when he wants your attention and isn’t shy about letting you know when he would like to be included.

His ideal home will offer a moderate level of activity along with plenty of companionship. More than anything, Groot wants to be near his family and involved in everyday life. He walks well on a leash, is crate trained and housebroken, and enjoys going along for a ride.

Groot is a sweet, silly, affectionate boy who has found himself needing a new beginning through no fault of his own. He has so much love and companionship to offer and deserves what every good dog deserves—a family to call his own and a loving home for the rest of his life.

Groot is currently located in the Spartanburg South Carolina area. He is fully up-to-date with vaccines, heartworm, negative, and up-to-date on heartworm preventatives.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:

To apply: email (EXACTLY as written)

laboroflove.adoption.info@gmail.com

Please include a daytime phone number in your email.
