Hi, I'm Grits! I was one of 30 pups rescued from a difficult hoarding case, and while I had a rough start, I am now safe and doing much better with VOCAL.<br/><br/>Despite my past, I am very affectionate and love to snuggle. I can be a little shy at first, but once I warm up, I am a loyal friend. While I am not particularly food-motivated, I absolutely love squeaky toys. One of my cutest tricks is I love to be a meerkat. I can sit and watch like this forever. I'm kind of a pro.<br/><br/>I am already house-trained and will signal at the door when I need to go outside. I currently live with cats and other dogs and get along well with everyone. While I cannot jump on or off furniture myself, I love to perch on the couch once I am settled there. I currently sleep in a kennel, but I would love the freedom to sleep in a cozy bed near you.<br/><br/>Grooming will be an important part of my life. I enjoy my daily face washes and occasional baths, but I am in need of my first professional groom.<br/><br/>If you think we could be a good match, I would love a meet and greet.
