Griffin's Story

Griffin is a 4 year old, lovable, affectionate, playful, and energetic little guy. He is fully housebroken, knows basic commands (crate, place, sit, stay, paw, lay down, roll over, kisses), and has been e-collar trained as well, although this can be improved upon. He LOVES his treats and is very food-motivated. He loves to run around the yard chasing squirrels and rabbits and running the fence line with the neighbors dog. Most nights are finished by playing tug and keep-away with his toys. He enjoys going for walks, but only in nice weather. Griffin will do best in a home with a fenced in yard where he can explore unteathered. If you already have a dog he will enjoy the company, but will take a few days to warm up to his new friend. While I am at work he roams the house and lounges, and he usually spends the night in his crate but loves to sleep in bed and snuggle too. Sometimes he does not want to be pet and will give a little growl to let you know. When he does, I say “Crate” and he goes to his safe place for a few minutes, but quickly returns to my side to snuggle in. Because of this, I recommend that he is not placed in a home with young children who may not understand. I am also not sure how he will be with a cat. Griffin is perfectly healthy and up to date on all vaccinations. Applications: www.oarwny.org Already approved? Email us at oarwny@gmail.com
