Gretta's Story

Gretta is a female <best guess> Miniature Schnauzer mix. She was a stray that came to us from another rescue.
As you can see by the photo she was a matted mess and probably had been in her own for awhile due to the matted hair, stickers etc. Gretta was given a quick shave to give her relief from hair that was pulling at her skin. The stray straggly hair will be clipped off during her spay and dental cleaning. Gretta"s teeth are in bad shape and will be cleaned/ pulled during spay.
Gretta's weight is about 16 pounds and estimated to be about 10+ years old. Don't let her age fool you, she has lots of spunky energy and loves to run after dog toys. She is food and treat motivated and is in a foster home with other small dogs and cats. In the photo, you can see she is willing to share the pet bed with the kitty.
☆☆☆This breed requires routine grooming to keep the coat looking its best-as you can see by the photo what can happen with matted hair.
All medical work is completed prior to adoption including spay shots worming flea treatment rabies shot kennel cough micro chip grooming Dental cleaning and vet examination.
The adoption fee is $200 + tax with an approved application. The pre-adoption application is available on the website www.prairiepawsrescue.com.
Prairie Paws Rescue does not adopt on a first come basis but who will provide the best home suited to the pets needs
