Meet Gretchen Wilson in FL - Playful and Loving!

Gretchen Wilson is a beautiful young lady, with thick black eyeliner emphasizing her swoon-worthy puppy-dog eyes! She charms her way into everyone’s hearts, and is sure to work her magic on you as well! This playful gal gets along with dogs, cats, and humans of all shapes and sizes - she’d do great in a family with kids to play with (and sneak her snacks!). When out for walks in the neighborhood, she goes right up to new people for pets. She has good manners and is learning her basic skills such as walking on leash and crate training, and can’t wait to have a family that will teach her more tricks. This lovely lady enjoys spending time both indoors and out - cuddling in front of the tv is just as amusing as playing chase outside with her foster brother! Play time is her favorite time of day, and she has her paws crossed that her family will have a box filled with toys for her amusement! Barking isn’t a big thing for her, but will join in when her brother alerts to something. Gretchen has a moderate activity level, and will require a home with a secure fenced yard and a canine brother who she can look up to for advice and to help her learn the ropes and routine. If you are looking for the PYRfect companion and have large breed experience, Gretchen Wilson is your girl!

Due to the high level of interest we can't respond to emails unless an application has been submitted.

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature (www.nationalpyr.org/know-the-breed) and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.

Transport not available to the West Coast - please see our list of Northwest dogs at https://nationalpyr.org/northwest-region
