Meet GREAT SLATE (You're going to LOVE this guy)
This 40 pound dog is EVERYTHING you could want in a pet. Not only is he stunning beautiful with that chiseled face and hunk body, but he is very trainable and he would make a great agility pet for a first pet you take into agility.
He is NOT hyper, but man this boy can jump straight up in the air about 4 feet or more. HE IS A HOOT!!!
He does have a vice and that is the Beagle genes in him want to make him hunt. So he MUST have a home where he is kept on a leash or fenced in yard.
Because he has a loyal frame of mind, I think he could be trained to stay close to you if you hike, but he is NOT to be trusted to stay on your farm property if left outside to potty alone.
THIS DUDE will get the hunt bug and be gone on the fly for the bunny trail!
I will suggest his owner who hikes also get him a GPS collar so you can find him "in the event" he goes off on a trail tangent and gets separated from you however.
