GRACIE's Story

Meet GRACIE! She is a shy mini Aussie with a gentle heart and a quiet way of loving.

GRACIE came to us after being hit by a car as a stray. When she first arrived, she was frightened of everything and often looked for places to hide. With time, patience, routine, and consistency, she has grown into a calmer, more comfortable version of herself.

GRACIE will always be a timid dog. She does not need someone to force her to be different. She needs someone who will love her at her own pace and understand that trust takes time.

Today, GRACIE spends her days in playgroup with other dogs. She mostly moves through the yard quietly saying hello rather than jumping into the middle of the action. Her best friend is OAKLEY, who is a little like her security blanket in dog form. She looks forward to their daily walks, and when walk time arrives, the two of them briefly turn into playful goofs. It always makes us laugh because they are both usually so laid-back and shy.

GRACIE is a proven flight risk. She escaped from a home after being tied in a yard unattended, something we had warned against. By the grace of God, she survived four days on the run and was found safe. Because of this, a secure fenced yard is an absolute must, along with a careful, attentive adopter who understands that catching a scared dog is not easy.

GRACIE may not rush into your arms, but she will slowly and sweetly make her way into your heart.

* Apply to adopt: www.noahs-arks.net/nar-application
* NoahsArksRescue@mac.com
* 843-540-6755

* See more of us on Instagram: @noahsarksrescue

ABOUT US:
Noahs Arks Rescue is a nonprofit providing emergency medical help and rehabilitation to abused and neglected dogs.
