Gracie's Story

Gracie is a 10 month old spayed female Houndy girl. We rescued her from an overcrowded shelter in Southern Idaho. She is very quiet for a hound and loves to lay around as much as play. She is mellow and happy to hang out with you in the yard or on the couch. She can jump fences, but stays nicely in a solid 6 ' . No chain link. A GPS collar fence would also be ideal for her. She only tries to leave when you do, she really likes to be with her people! She gets along great with dogs, cats and farm animals. She is house broke and will use a doggie door. She cannot be crated, she hates it and will hurt herself trying to get out. Obviously she's suffered a trauma at the hands of her former people at some time in her life, to panic like she does over crates. Crates should never be a "Bad" place, misuse is very common. <br/>Otherwise Miss Gracie is very sweet, affectionate, loving , gentle and great with kids. She would make an excellent companion for a moderately active family or person.
