Gracie's Story

GRACIE is hoping 2024 is the year she gets her home. She's watched over the years as many dogs have come in and been adopted and still she waits. GRACIE is playful and sweet! She loves long walks and car rides. Kid friendly and dog friendly (with proper intros) she would love to find her people to snuggle up next to on the couch and give her all the attention. GRACIE does need somebody very committed to her and keeping her safe. She has a strong prey drive and would not do well with cats. She is athletic and can jump so she would need a yard with a 6' privacy fence to play in. We would love to make this GRACIE's year - help us find her the best home. Adoption fee $125. Aurora Adopt A Pet's Adoption Policy

We have many dogs and many cats, all with individual personalities. Please ask us to tell you about them. We can share what we know about our animals and even recommend a good match just for you! To request an application form, email us at auroraadoptapet@yahoo.com. Your application will be reviewed by a committee prior to approval for adoption and can take a couple days. We reserve the right to deny any application for any reason. We are located on the unpaved portion of McCullough Lane on the east edge of Aurora, 1/10 of a mile beyond the intersection of McCullough and N St. Our open visiting hours are Wednesday and Sunday 3 - 5 pm. If you would like to come to the shelter at another day or time, please call or e-mail us to set up an appointment.
