Gordy's Story

Hello. It’s me, Cheesy Gordita… but you can call me Gordy.

I’m a 4-5 year old bulldog with a lot of personality packed into a very solid body (60 pounds!). I came from the south, got adopted in Massachusetts, and sadly found myself on the streets again.

Here’s the scoop on me:

•I’m great with other dogs. Friends? Love ’em. Playtime? Yes please.

•I am hilarious, quirky, and extremely stubborn—this is not a flaw, it’s a lifestyle.

•I’ve had some professional training (still a work in progress), and my future humans get continued training support for life (so we can all keep learning together).

•I’m working on my jumping and mouthiness. Progress is happening. Patience is appreciated. Treats help. For this reason, I should not be in a home with children.

•I’m crate trained and—brace yourself—I LOVE baths. Like, actually love them. I try to jump into the bath tub all the time.

Health-wise, I’ve been busy being very brave:

•I just had double cherry eye surgery and I’m healing up great

•I have skin allergies, but they’re under control with a special diet and regular medicated baths (did I mention I love baths?)

I’m a goofy, affectionate, bulldog-y bulldog who will make you laugh every single day. I take naps, commitment, and snacks very seriously.

If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick, couch buddy, and full-time entertainer…
I’m ready.
