Gordon 3539's Story

3/22/26. GORDON is about 6–7 years old. When his owner passed away, the family came to clear out the apartment and left him tied up outside the front door. He stayed there like that for three days — alone, confused, and grieving — until finally someone who cared was notified. He was brought to the amazing Junior in Redlands, and he’s now safe with us.

GORDON is very shy and timid with people he doesn’t know, which makes sense after what he’s been through. Once he feels safe, though, he blossoms into a happy lovebug. He absolutely adores his rescuer, Marinella — his whole tail goes wild when he sees her. He gets along with other dogs, and being around them actually seems to help him relax. We know he isn’t a purebred Dobie, but we never leave a dog behind if they need help. Please think about opening your heart and home to GORDON. He won’t let you down.

3/1/26 – Meet Gordon. His owner had died, and he was left at the home, later found by the landlord. Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). These dogs will always be supported by DRL. We welcome financial support for these dogs.
