Goose - adorable Poodle/Pyr boy's Story

Meet Goose!

Goose is a tall, handsome 2-1/2-year-old Poodle/Pyrenees mix boy who loves to cuddle and be petted. He especially loves snuggling with you on the couch for a night of Netflix. He absolutely loves attention!

He weighs about 70 lbs., and he’s neutered, housetrained and up to date on his regular vet care.

This adorable guy loves to go on long hikes and walks, and currently walks three miles a day. He’ll absolutely need room to roam. A big fenced yard or acreage would be ideal — i.e. no condos or apartments for this active boy.

He loves to play fetch! Because of his high energy, his person says he’ll do best in a home with no small kids, kitties or other animals, only because his energy could be too much for a little one.

Goose is untested with other dogs in the home. On walks, he can occasionally be particular about other dogs he sees on the street, but with most dogs he's OK.

Currently his person gives him treats on walks as a reward for good behavior, and she feels that his occasional reactivity is something that could be worked on with a good force-free training program — which Summit Dog Rescue also highly recommends. Ideally he’ll go to a home where everyone understands his natural Pyrenees protective/guardian qualities.

For more info and/or to apply to adopt Goose, send us an email at SummitDogRescue@gmail.com, telling us a bit about yourself, your home environment and your lifestyle.
