Goose's Story

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION: This beauty is Goose. She is a Pyrenees or Maremma Sheepdog mix and is 14–16-month-old. Great Pyrenees and Maremma Sheepdogs are Livestock Guardian Dogs which are not lap dogs or couch potatoes. A few months ago, she was hit by a car, and her front leg was injured. She will have a permanent bump on her leg. She has healed well. She sits when I ask her to sit. She does not like being crated but is okay sitting outside in a kennel. She prefers having a KURUNDA bed to lay on. She will sit, well, lay on it with her front legs cross, keeping her eyes open and surveying her territory. She is sweet but still has a ton of puppy-like puppy energy and excitement. She completed her 30 days of antibiotics for Lyme Disease, but has gone into heat delaying her ability to be spayed. She has not been showing us any aggression or assertive behavior towards any other of the shelter animals. Interested in meeting her? Call SK Animal Shelter at 401-789-5515.
