Goody's Story
Meet O Ya Good Looken - Your New Best Friend!*

Hi, I'm Goody, a pretty 5-year-old Greyhound with good looks and charm. I will be celebrating my 6th birthday on June 20th. I’m happily retired from the race track and being a Brood mama. Turns out, chasing toys in the yard and lounging around the house is way more my style!

I'm currently living with a wonderful foster family and learning the ropes from my 2 Greyhound foster sisters. I'd love to find my forever home. However, I'm a little too interested in cats (they hiss and run, and I really want to chase them), so l need a cat-free home.

I'm crate-trained and do great in my kennel while my foster mom is at work—no accidents, no fuss, and I'm super gentle with my blankets. When she's home, I love spending time in the backyard, exploring and playing with toys and drag them to my pillow and even drag them outside and leave them. I like playing with my sisters but can get a little bossy. Very easy to redirect I am a good listener.

Leash walks? I'm a pro! I love strolling the neighborhood, sniffing all the smells, and spotting squirrels (so many squirrels!). I've also have met kids and get along well.

I can't wait to meet my forever family! If you're looking for a sweet, playful, and gentle companion with a touch of zoomie energy, I might just be for you. I'm currently being fostered in the Indianola and I'm ready for my next big
adventure—hopefully with you!

This dog is being fostered in the Des Moines Area. We do not ship dogs. Adopters must be committed to meeting the dog in the area it is being fostered.

If you are interested in adopting or meeting this dog or any other of HGA's dogs, more information about the adoption process and the online application can be found here: https://heartlandgreyhoundadoption.org/adopt/adopt.html
We do not do meetings for dogs without an approved application.

The adoption fee for a dog from HGA is $300.00. This fee pays for medical costs including spay/neuter surgery, shots, parasite treatments, teeth cleaning, microchip and microchip registration fee. Each dog also comes with a special sighthound collar and leash set and muzzle. There is a $30 non-refundable application fee.
