Glory's Story

Meet Glory! She is 6 years old.

This sensitive girl is still learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. She can be pretty unsure in the kennel and indoor spaces, often moving slowly and cautiously or needing a little extra encouragement to get going. Loud noises, such as barking dogs, can be overwhelming for her, and when she’s feeling nervous, she may try to retreat or make herself small. But once she’s outside and has a chance to breathe, you can see her confidence start to grow. Out in the fresh air, Glory becomes more curious and engaged, happily sniffing, exploring, and even showing off a playful side. She loves carrying toys around and will chase after them with enthusiasm, even if she hasn’t quite figured out the whole “bring it back” part yet. She’s also shown that she enjoys attention, and happily greets people with a soft body and a wagging tail when she feels safe.

Glory will need a patient and understanding home that can give her the time and space to decompress and build confidence at her own pace. She may need help navigating doorways and transitions at first, and her family should be prepared to go slow and support her through those moments when she feels unsure. While she can be hesitant to walk in indoor areas, she’s more comfortable outside and walks with a manageable leash pull once she gets going. She is attentive to her handler and enjoys treats and affection, which will be helpful as she continues to learn. Glory has shown interest in other dogs and can be redirected easily, but her new family should focus on helping her feel secure before introducing too many new pets to her. With patience, consistency, and a calm environment, Glory has all the potential to blossom into a more confident and happy companion.

Intake Reason: Stray

This pet is up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped.
