Meet Gizmo
Gizmo is a 3-and-a-half-year-old Pomeranian mix, who came in as an owner surrender due to an allergy. While slow to warm up to people, he immediately made friends with the resident dog. Gizmo’s introduction to new people should be very slow and we are working on his initial reaction when new people enter his home. BUT once he gets to know you, he is the biggest love bug.
Playful and curious, Gizmo’s favorite toys are hair scrunchies. He loves playing ball and going for walks. He is great on leash and has a pretty good recall as well. Gizmo respects the resident cat and doesn’t chase or bother her. He is quite content playing when it’s time to play and just hanging out when there is down time. He is great with kids if they are respectful to his space.
Gizmo is crate trained, but he now sleeps on the bed, and is loving it! He also no longer goes in the crate when left home alone. Like most dogs in transition, Gizmo had a couple accidents in the house at first, but after the first week, he figured things out.
As stated above, Gizmo’s introduction to new people needs to be slow, as well as his transition to a new home. He is very fearful of being touched by new people so getting to know him might take a bit of time. Even after getting to know the people in his foster home, there are certain types of petting that makes Gizmo nervous. He may not be the right dog for you if you have a lot of visitors and noise outside.
Gizmo is ready for his forever home. His adoption fee is $300.
