Gizmo's Story

Giz is currently located in Texas. We have a shipping company that can deliver him to you. The cost of shipping him and all required health certificates is included in his adoption price. We are extremely transparent with all issues with our pets and love to tell you about any and all behaviors before you decide to commit to them.

Gizmo is my favorite dog here. He is just so calm and affectionate. He is a dog that will easily just trail right beside you. When other dogs misbehave he will sit right beside me, touching my leg with his body and just observe everything going on. He isn't very treat motivated but is very smart. He can easily learn new tricks and is eager for praise. We originally rescued Giz from a local shelter, when he was only 3 months old. to be friends with a dog that had anxiety issues. She was having a very difficult time relaxing and we feared putting her with any other dogs that might set her off. She loved Gizmo immediately. They were the best of friends and he made it so she could be calm and be around other dogs without any worries at all. We currently have 5 fosters with him (including her) and they all run and chase each other around the yard happily. We also use him to test out other dogs that might have issues with other animals. He is pretty non reactionary and if there are any issues he is quick to just slip between my legs as I am standing there. He loves attention but isn't super licky. He really is just one of the best dogs in the world. I would keep him forever but he deserves better. He deserves a home where he can be the center of someone's world. It is time he finds that...

To learn more please feel free to message us at caninekarmarescue@gmail.com or fill out our application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CKR/Dog

Our adoptions are not conducted on a first come first served basis and we work to find the best home for each dogs individual needs.

All pets have been spayed or neutered and are current on all vaccinations. Dogs are kept on heartworm preventative, as well. Adoption fees range from $160-$300 and we require potential adopters to fill out an application and pass a vet check before they are able to meet our pets. We do NOT proceed with adoptions on a first come first served basis. All pets are placed in the homes that we feel best fit their individual needs.
