Any time you get up, Maya will be right behind you, curious to see where you're headed. Maya is the sweetest dog and loves to cuddle up right next to you (or on top of you) in bed or on the couch. She also loves her playtime, both inside and outside. She always has a toy in her mouth and enjoys running around the house or the yard with her foster brother to get her energy out. Maya listens well to basic commands (knows sit and will come most of the time). She loves her foster brother dog and shows a lot of interest in her foster brother cat (she will sit and watch the cat eat his food, and sometimes try to chase him, but has not shown aggression towards him). Maya can be initially leary of people she does not know, letting out some soft growls. However, once she spends a few minutes with these people and realizes they are friendly too, she warms up to them quckly and gets back to her loving self! We are unsure how she acts around children. Maya would be the most grateful, loving, sweetest protector and new family member to whoever welcomes her into their home!
