Gingerale Pit Bull Terrier Clarksville, VA

Gingerale came to LCSPCA as a transfer from the county pound on 6/20/23 at age 2 years weighing 50 lbs. She is extremely friendly and affectionate with people she knows and gets along great with other dogs. She loves to play and would make someone a wonderful companion. The reason she has not gotten adopted yet is because she will bark at strangers roaming the isles or when all the other dogs get all worked up barking and there is a lot of chaos going on. So adopters pass her right on by. This happens to a lot of shelter dogs. They are stuck in a small kennel with strangers peering in at them all day everyday and dogs barking constantly. So being wary of strangers and feeling stressed and vulnerable, they become a bit fearful for their safety. But outside their pens, it's a different story. We just wish someone could give her a chance. Gingerale is such a wonderful young dog, and again as we mentioned, gets along great with other dogs and enjoys playing.
