Meet Ginger, a 3 year old, 8.5 pounds! Ginger is a Shih Tzu mix who came into rescue after her owner passed away and his wife, who had Alzheimer’s, needed to move into assisted living. Ginger and her sister, Coco Chanel, were later adopted out together through another rescue, but were eventually returned when their adopter felt they were “uncontrollable” in the home. We have to say...that has NOT been our experience although they can sometimes tag team you! Since coming to Once Upon A Prayer Pet Rescue, these girls have been wonderful house guests. They may have a little something to say while hanging out in their kennels, but once they’re out, they are sweet, happy, affectionate girls who are simply a joy to have around.<br/><br/>Ginger is definitely the people girl of the pair. She would much rather climb into your lap, jump up for some loving, and snuggle with her favorite humans than worry about silly toys. She’s the more outgoing and energetic sister and is always ready to be part of whatever you’re doing. Ginger is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and happiest when she’s getting attention from her people. <br/><br/>These two girls are proof that sometimes a dog just needs the right environment to shine. Ginger is ready to leave her past behind and find the loving home she deserves—preferably one with plenty of cuddles!<br/><br/>All of our dogs come with a collar, leash, toy, two food/water bowls, and a copy of all medical and microchip information. Once completed, we can set up a meet-and-greet! Ginger's adoption fee is 600.
